September 11, 2008 by Erin Lynch I want to take this opportunity to thank my hardworking and dedicated campaign volunteers and I thank all of you who came out in the rain to vote on Tuesday. As you may know, it appears that we have won the election by eleven (11) votes. It is common practice in a race this close for the candidate with fewer votes to request a recount. David Bennett has officially requested a recount and I hope to have the official election results by Monday, September 15, 2008. Unfortunately, at this time I have no choice but to put some of our future campaign plans on hold until we receive official word from the Board of Elections. I will give you an update on this when I have more information. Again, thank you all so much and I am looking forward to continuing in this race with your help and support. |
